Clear All Repetitions - (Posted 3/6/2004) If a repeating field is not already defined to lookup its values from elsewhere, you can use this interesting and efficient technique to clear all the repetitions “in one fell swoop.”
Multi-User Checkboxes - (Posted 9/1/2003) It is possible to have multiple users marking checkboxes in a database, with each user seeing only the boxes he or she has checked. This demo shows how, and is also an example of portal filtering and using a global container field to toggle a button between two different states.
"Modified By" Tracking - (Posted 7/14/2003) This demo shows how to implement more sophisticated modification tracking. The "Modified By" value is grabbed from a global that is populated by a log-in routine you have built or purchased as the "front end" to your solution. And, for those times when you, as the developer or administrator, need to correct, repair, manipulate or otherwise edit the records in a file, the demo also shows you how to turn modification tracking off so that your name does not replace the "Modified By" info in the records.
Dynamic Layout References - (Posted 7/10/2002) Requires at least FMP 5.5. Ever break a script that references a layout name or number, after you rename or reorder layouts? This solution will make your scripted layout references unbreakable.

Entourage<->FMP5 Email Archive for OS X - Generously "donated" for our site by Jimmy Jones of FileMaker, Inc., this is Jimmy's update for OS X to his Mac-only solution for extracting email messages and archiving them into a FileMaker Pro 5.x database. Also includes Reply and Forward AppleScript commands from FMP to Entourage. Installation instructions are in the read me file.
OE/Entourage<->FMP5 Archive - Generously "donated" for our site by Jimmy Jones of FileMaker, Inc., this is Jimmy's latest update to his Mac-only solution for extracting email messages and archiving them into a FileMaker Pro 5 database. Scripts are now included for extracting Entourage as well as Outlook messages. 'Tanaka's osax 2.0' scripting extension is required, and is included with the download.
